The Barco Crescent 3030 is internal drum-based, multi-resolution plattesetter, designed to produce high-quality plates for medium to quick-turn four-color and black-and-white printing. It accommodate all media sizes starting at 229 mm x 305 mm (9" x 12") up to 762mm x 762mm (30" x 30").
Although primarily designed to expose aluminum plates, the Barco Crescent platesetters can handle film and polyester plates assuring a smooth transition to CTR.
Its small footprint and self-contained operation make the Crescent 3030 the ideal choice for any commercial or packaging printer.
The Crescent 3030 is one of the lowest cost platesetters in its quality on the market. In addition to giving fast payback, it is robustly built and easy to service, keeping running costs low and making it an excellent long-term investment.
Internal drum design and sophisticated optics ensure quality, speed, and flexibility. A fast spinning mirror tracking over the plate deflects a red laser beam onto the plate and delivers fast exposure times. The Crescent optics provides optimal spot sizes for the four standard resolutions - 1270, 1905, 2540, and 3810 ppi.
Architecture and optics
Broad connectivity is essential to flexibility. The Crescent range of platesetters can connect to both a Barco FastLane and PostScript workflow.
