The CrescentNews plattesetter, is based upon Barco's patented internal drum technology and a 2000 dpi engine capable of exposing both positive and negative 0.012" thick aluminum and polyester plates. The system is capable of stretching the image in both the fast and slow-scan directions (asymmetric image size). The imaging engine itself is equipped with a FD YAG laser for imaging blue-green sensitized plates.

The CrescentNews is designed and manufactured with serviceability in mind. All modules are readily accessible and replaceable. The CrescentNews contains remote diagnostic capability.
