The Escort 3242 equipped with one load cassette that can hold up to 50 plates (0.3 mm/12 mil) or films. It loads media from the cassette into the internal drum for imaging. While imaging, the slip sheet is removed from the next plate. Exposed media is automatically transferred to an on-line processor via an integral conveyor. Film can also be deposited into an optional film catch box, permitting unattended laser imager operation in normal lighting conditions.
A major feature of the Escort 3242 is its field upgradability, which enables a smooth transition to an automated computer-to-plate production environment to keep up with any future business requirements.
